A 501(c)(3) Program

TAKiR became a fiscally sponsored project of the Urbana Champaign Independent Media Center (UCIMC) on March 19, 2016. This enables supporters to fund our work through tax-deductible contributions. Donor contributions enable TAKiR to facilitate reunions through autosomal DNA testing, host programs and events, and support research for program improvements. While TAKiR is leading the way in managing services, UCIMC is handling the administration work related to operating a 501(c)(3) organization.
