Towards an African Multi-household Family Reintegration Theory

This project examines the family reintegration process of people of African descent who have identified relatives among first generation Africans and established communications with them. (Relatedness was determined by research participants prior to this research project using autosomal DNA testing.)

Northern Ghana Family Reintegration

This project is examines the evolving sense of community among northern Ghana residents and their diaspora relatives (as determined by autosomal DNA testing).

Ghana Study Abroad: African American Identity Development

We will examine how learning about family, identity, and history in Ghana can provide insight into identity development for African Americans in the U.S.
